Sara Blanco Monge is Master Degree in Business and Management Administration (MBA) from the Valencian International University, and Bachelor Degree in Industrial Technical Engineering from the Madrid Polytechnical University.
Currently she is a manager at OIM.
Throughout her 20-year professional career she has specialized in planning, governance and spearhead strategic and innovative projects for improvement of energy diversification in maritime transport, energy efficiency and sustainability in ports.
She has leaded various projects of special institutional relevance related to LNG as marine fuel, as well as Onshore Power Supply Systems, among others. She has been engaged in a collaborative work with key clients such as Puertos del Estado, participating in the development of Spanish National Policy Framework for the deployment of LNG market in maritime transport sector, and co-writing the Spanish Port System Energy Management Guidebook.
Within the management of several projects of the 2018-2020 Transportation and Infrastructure Innovation Plan (Ministry of Development) and proposal of public funding for the improvement of port energy efficiency, she has promoted the research, development, and innovation in energy efficiency of Spanish Port System framework.
Sara is a regular speaker at national and international conferences of reference within the sector of Green Ports. Actually, she is also part of the Port Masterplan Working Group, constituted by the Technical Association of Ports and Coasts (ATPYC).
