Juan Manuel Martín OrdaxManager

Juan Manuel Martín Ordax is a civil engineer from the Technical University of Madrid, with a specialization course in port management.

Currently he is a manager at OIM.

He started his career as a consultant specialized in the port sector and coastal management, actively participating in several engineering projects.

Since 2009 he is a project manager for projects at Spanish and European level.

He has participated in many research projects developed by the Technical University of Madrid within the port sector.

He has been part of several projects related to the use of LNG as marine fuel both for private corporations and for the Spanish Administration, actively participating in the development of projects granted by the European Union.

He is linked to the Research Group on Maritime and Port Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid, collaborating in the management of projects at Spanish and European level.

Since 2011 he has participated as external consultant in the development of several projects at European level related to training and capacitation of the human element for the deployment of the Motorways of the Sea and the use of LNG as marine fuel.

He has been lecturer at several post-graduate programs at the Technical University of Madrid related to the integrated coastal management and port engineering and management.

He is author of quality management system manuals based on ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

He was part of the engineering team that elaborated the first Spanish Dictionary of Engineering, particularly in the civil works section of the construction area.

He has received awards as part of winning teams at several engineering and design competitions.
