Javier Almazán Palomino holds an MSc in Civil Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid.
He is also Master in Business Administration MBA from IE Business School, Master in Ports Management from the Technical University of Madrid and Financial Projections Modelling and Analysis program from the Stock Market Studies Institute.
His career has always been linked to the infrastructure sector, especially to the port sector research and consultancy in the field of maritime and port management financial research.
He´s been personal advisor for the Viceminister of Public Private Partnerships of Ecuador for several infrastructure projects.
He has directed several international projects at South America for both Spanish State owned company and private companies, outstanding the Master Plan of El Callao Naval Base at Perú and the new Trafic Control Tower of El Dorado Airport at Colombia.
He is a member of the Research Group on Maritime and Port Engineering from the Technical University of Madrid.
He has participated as a researcher at the Technical University of Madrid in many research developed within the University.
He has participated in several projects related to LNG as maritime fuel, both for the Spanish administration (Port Authorities and Spanish Ports) and for private companies (regasification terminals and gas distribution companies).
He is a team member in different specialized courses in the port sector related to investment, development, construction and management of ports and maritime terminals.
Regarding his professional experience, he have amassed over 15 years of significant and progressive experience in the maritime and port business within the port engineering, consultancy, investment, development and construction of major maritime port infrastructure throughout different countries.Back
